All our “Apartments” and the “Suite” are located inside a historic building on the oldest street in Trieste, Via Cavazzeni no. 5, where the narrow and winding layout is a clear example of medieval road planning. The year carved in stone on the entrance door reads: “1777”. All the buildings on this street still preserve features of 14th and 15th-century masonry.Interestingly, at number 3, the adjacent and particularly old house is believed to have been one of the first schools in Trieste, dating back to medieval times.

Dedicated to early 20th-century Triestine writers Giani Stuparich and Umberto Saba, who experienced art in all its forms—both in life and in their work. The two were close friends and regulars at the historic “Caffè Garibaldi” (now Gran Bar Unità) in Piazza Unità, where writers, intellectuals, and politicians of the time used to gather.
The apartment is a spacious, air-conditioned 44 m² open-plan studio with independent heating. It features a fully equipped kitchenette, a double bed with bed linen, a comfortable wardrobe, a flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi, a video intercom, and a coffee and tea machine with complimentary pods.

The writer Italo Svevo embodies the essence of why you should stay with us… Italo as an Italian, Svevo as a Germanic figure. Svevo was half-Italian and half-German, of Jewish descent, born and raised in Trieste, a city he described as a blend of peoples, languages, and cultures. He was torn between being a writer and a businessman, living a bourgeois life influenced by Central European culture. He shared a deep friendship and intellectual affinity with James Joyce.
This apartment is perfect for three guests and is ideal for families, children, business travelers seeking the “comfort of home,” or anyone wanting to experience Trieste as Svevo did, as described in one of his works: “In the stillness and silence, city, sea, and hills appeared as one.”

This apartment is dedicated to James Joyce, the Irish writer who lived in Trieste for over a decade with his beloved Nora, and in one of his letters, he describes the deep bond he shared with the city:
“…My soul is in Trieste (J. Joyce)”…
Joyce, a world-renowned writer, arrived in Trieste with Nora when he had yet to achieve fame, which would come later. His desire to travel brought him to Trieste, a city he fell in love with and described in all his works as multi-ethnic and multi-cultural. Trieste is still the same today. .
The apartment is as versatile as the city itself! It’s perfect for a romantic stay but can also accommodate business travelers, couples, or solo visitors.
